Rhyls Mayor 2015-16
At the Councils Annual Meeting held in the Council Chamber on 20th May, Councillor Barry Mellor was inaugurated as Rhyls new Mayor.
Councillor Mellor thanked his fellow Councillors for entrusting him with the prestigious role and assured them that it was one he would be 100% committed to.
Councillor Mellor was pleased to confirm that his wife Tony was to be his Mayoress and that Father Charles Ramsay had kindly accepted his invitation to be his Chaplain for the forthcoming year.
Councillor Mellor added that he would be championing all of the regeneration projects planned for Rhyl, in particular the new High School and the Premier Inn and was very much looking forward to working with Neptune Developments and watching the progression of their proposals for the Promenade alongside the Deputy Mayor, Councillor Sarah Roberts, and her Consort and Mum, Mrs Glenda Roberts.
"We should see big changes in Rhyls fortunes going forward."
